George County Sheriff Dies In The Line Of Duty
George County Sheriff, Garry Welford, was killed July 21, 2010 during an attempt to make an arrest. The suspects have been captured and the investigation is in progress.

Arrangements
Vistation will be held Sunday, July 25, 2010, from 5pm until 9pm, at Shady Grove Baptisit Church (14146 Old Highway 26, Lucedale). The funeral will be held at the church the next morning at 10am. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery.
